An existing web application using Rails and Angular JS requires the implementation of a front end testing framework (Selenium/Protractor) to begin automated testing of 8 web pages (30 tests) of a standard signup/shopping cart/ user profile management process. Example of a test is choose products, register account, edit quantity, check price, update address, checkout with credit card, show thank you message. Looking for a developer/tester that can setup Selenium/Webdriver and to start implementing reusable tests for the web application. Tests will be run regularly to ensure application meets requirements and will require some reporting ("X success and X failures"). Git repo will be used for code and daily stand ups for the duration of the implementation. This will be start of a large testing implementation (over 400 tests in total) of the application. Based on the success of this (high quality and reusability of the selenium tests and code) there will be more work. More details of web application ([login to view URL]) and tests (will provide list of the actual tests required) will be provided for bidders that are shortlisted.

Hello, I am a professional software developer in Brisbane, Australia. I work full-time for a local software company and have developed a number of Selenium suites for our Angular projects. Jasmine is my preferred assertion library, but I am open to use others (Mocha etc). I understand your project is integrated into a rails application, that is not a problem. I am new to Freelancer, which is why I am yet to be ranked, but I can assure you that I have the skills to complete this project and would love the opportunity to work with you. We will need to discuss how you would like the suite to run. If you are happy to run the tests locally before deployment than that is of course a trivial matter. Hi there, I am ruby and ruby on rails developer. I am also freelancer.com preferred freelancer. I use rspec and Cucumber for testing. I used many times selenium for scraping. I use selenium webdriver for tests within rspec and Cucumber. Can I please see some already done tests with selenium if you have? Do you use headless browser? My name is Michal. I am test automation geek & software tester with 18 months of experinece. Currenly, i am implementing mobile automation framework (Appium - mobile extension for selenium) for mobile applications tests at my 9-to-5 job. And now some words about this project, a plan how i want to work: - Firstly, I set up Selenium server(I understand, that you can have your own test environment) - Then I create PageObjectModel for site You specified - When PageObjectModel is done, I can start creating test cases (I need details what exactly have to be automated) POM shortens time for test cases implementation. - At the end, I implement test reporting library to give You test results. There are more things to mesh together, for exmaple: how often should i commit my work to git repo, all those things we can discuss through private messages. I will provide you with the followings: 1. Detailed plan after the high level requirements are analyzed 2. Setup JAVA environment and Web Driver 3. Create Test Scripts based on your requirements (reuse ability will be given top priority) 4. Tests will be designed with highest level of description so that it is easy to maintain 5. Objective based testing will be done based on functionality, usability, non functional etc. 6. A detailed report will be provided after each milestone is achieved. 7. I do not do cheap work as you have seen from my bidding and my work product due will be also very high quality.
