Project Overview The project involves the schematic design of a comprehensive lighting system for a high-end residential property. The design should encompass various types of lighting—low, medium, and high-level—in most rooms. The aim is to create a luxurious yet functional lighting environment that complements the aesthetics of the home. Deliverables General Requirements * Room-by-Room Lighting Plan: A detailed plan specifying the type, location, and number of light fixtures for each room. * Wattage and Lux Levels: Recommendations for appropriate wattages and lux levels for each type of lighting. * Switch Locations: Indication of where all switches will be located, specifying if they are 1-way, 2-way, or 3-way. * External Monitoring: Suggestions for camera placements for external monitoring. * Main Hallway Camera: A camera placement in the main hallway on the ground floor, pointing at the front door. * Schedule (table) with all lights and their code that match the plan so they can easily be found and their quantities (a BQO -bill of quantities). Specific Requirements Living Room: Low-level lighting for ambiance Medium-level lighting for general use High-level lighting for reading or tasks Kitchen: Low-level lighting for late-night snacking Medium and high-level lighting for cooking and tasks Bedrooms: Low-level lighting for relaxation Medium-level lighting for general use High-level lighting for reading or tasks Bathrooms: Low-level lighting for nighttime Medium and high-level lighting for grooming tasks Outdoor Areas: Low-level lighting for ambiance Medium-level lighting for general use High-level lighting for tasks like grilling Basement: Please refer to the client's example for the basement floor design. Final Plan (milestone 2): Due within four weeks of initial draft approval. Format: Plans should be submitted in both PDF and CAD (DWG) formats. Notes The client has provided an example for the basement floor. While it is not a professional design, it reflects the client's preferences and should be incorporated into the final plan.
